Hello All!
In my honest opinion, a blogger can fufill the capacity of news reporter if given the chance; however, they should always take the care of responsible blogging when posting their entries. Pursuit and distribution of knowledge is a fine goal for any blogger, but pursuing knowledge to cause inflammation and disturbance toward people and places should be discouraged. As a reporter or as a blogger, one must pursue the goal of authoritive integrity when discussing these issues - no matter whether.
As such, I consider bloggers to be almost synonymous with reporters, and they should thus get the same reporting protection and rights as needed.
